Big Game Fishing ,Sailing and Snapper fishing Charters are all available. There is also an excellent all tide concrete launching ramp for trailer boats. Although Whangaroa has a very small population, it boasts the historic Marlin Hotel, world famous Whangaroa Big Game Fishing Club, modern marina and general store. Meals can be obtained at both the Game Fishing Club and the Marlin Hotel. Whangaroa Harbour is located 30km north of Kerikeri and the Bay of Islands. The sandy beaches of Tauranga Bay, Taupo Bay and Coopers Beach, including Kauri Cliffs and Whangaroa golf courses are all near by.
