Products list: The Amazing Maze n Maize is a gigantic maze within just under 10 acres of maize and is open each summer from 26 December and runs through until the end of April. We create a paddock of maize (feed corn), 3 ½ hectares in size, with about 8 ½ km of pathways cut into it to form a pictorial maze. The actual pathway, if you dont take a wrong turn is just over 1km and takes approximately 50 minutes. Being a crop, the season is limited (end Dec to May) so each year we start afresh with a new theme and a new pattern of paths. (See aerial photos on our website at www.maze.co.nz) The Maze features a viewing bridge, kernels of knowledge within the maize maze with associated quizzes, and a family area with the emphasis on good old fashioned fun - with walking boards, stilts, hoola hoops and barbecue facilities, along with lifeguards (or corn cops) to assist the lost! Last year the new 3D Vortex Tunnel was opened and is operational during all mazes. Visitors negotiate their way through the spinning vortex wearing 3D glasses. In addition to the Day Maze there are special theme nights. The moonlight mazes are suitable for all age groups however the amazingly popular Corn-Evil Haunted Horror Nights are strictly R16, and Grimmer Scary Tales is especially for children and brave adults! Both of these feature actors within the maze representing your worst nightmare (CornEvil) or favourite fairytale character (Grimmer Scary Tales). Open 7 days 10am-6pm - late nights Fri Sat - last entry 10pm. As parking is at a premium on late nights we do request all visitors participate in these theme events and tickets can be pre-purchased on arrival.
